Restoring Power: A Trauma-Informed Healing Circle for Survivors of Systemic Abuse

Workshop Description:

Restoring Power is an 8-week trauma-informed healing workshop designed for individuals who have been impacted by systemic abuse, such as police violence, discrimination, institutional neglect, and other forms of structural harm.

This workshop offers a safe, compassionate, and empowering space where participants can begin to process trauma, reclaim their voices, and build resilience together. Guided by principles of trauma-informed care, racial justice, and collective healing, we move beyond survival and toward restoration, connection, and personal agency.

What the Workshop Offers:

A Safe & Supportive Community: We co-create a brave space grounded in trust, respect, and mutual care.

Trauma Education: Learn how systemic abuse impacts the brain, body, and spirit, and how healing is possible.

Creative & Expressive Tools: Use journaling, storytelling, movement, and art as pathways to process pain and honor resilience.

Empowerment Through Knowledge: Gain access to your rights, advocacy resources, and tools for navigating broken systems.

Healing Practices: Learn grounding, coping, and self-regulation techniques to restore a sense of safety and self-trust.

Peer Support: Share experiences in small circles that foster validation, reflection, and community-building.

Celebration of Joy and Identity: Explore who you are beyond trauma and begin to reimagine life on your own terms.

How It Improves Lives:
